By government directives most petrol sold worldwide now contains ethanol. Ethanol attacks rubber hoses and rubber and cork seals, and metallic parts such as brass and zinc. It also absorbs water which can cause corrosion and poor starting. Millers EPS is recommended for rebuilt classic engines now fitted with hardened valve seats which previously required leaded fuel but now running on unleaded fuel, where an octane improver is not needed. It combats the adverse effects of ethanol and helps protect components from corrosion. 250ml treats 40 litres of unleaded petrol. This product is endorsed by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs as a fuel additive for protection against corrosion in metals
