Jaguar overview
William Lyons started out making sidecars for motorcycles and branched out into cars for which he selected the name Jaguar in 1935. In the 60's Jaguar became part of BMC, in the 80's a private company again and in the 90's part of Ford. In the classic period Jaguar made many very famous models, the XK120, XK140, XK150, C Type, D type, E Type sports cars and Mk V, Mk VII and Mk II saloons. Jaguars won the Le Mans 24 hour race in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1956 and 1957. All of these Jaguars were built around the superb XK six-cylinder engine or a V12. Over the years Lucas, SU and others supplied parts to Jaguar, many of them being parts common to other cars being built by other manufacturers. We stock and supply many of these items, to find them look under the appropriate heading. Included are a number of parts specific to Jaguars. These specific parts, accessories and books are listed below: If you are running a Jaguar car or are involved in restoration of Jaguars we hope you will find this website useful. It should be noted that we also offer to the Jaguar owner rear view mirrors, sun visors, clothing for open cars, oils and other consumables. Enjoy your motoring!
