Petrolheads Welcome

Petrolheadswelcome.com is a free web portal designed to help Petrolheads find venues that their cars would enjoy. It’s a site that has been built by car lovers for car lovers.

The idea is a simple one: the website lists hotels, B&Bs and self-catering venues in the UK and across Europe that are recommended by Petrolheads like us.
Director, Andrew Fawkes, said “Five of us came together to build the website following many shared drives in the UK and abroad. The planning effort required to organise the stop-overs for a European road trip is considerable and sometimes off-putting. Not anymore!”
Fellow director, Paul Gerring, added “Whether you’re a lone traveller or a club organising a tour, you can be sure that the venues on Petrolheadswelcome.com are suitable for your car. We all share the mantra: if my car’s happy, I’m happy!”

The site is free to join and free to use. It also includes places of interest (labelled ‘Visit’) to factor-in to your tour schedule or day out. That’s where we come in…

Holden Vintage & Classic are listed on the site (see here) along with our support of Bromyard Speed Festival and its breakfast meetings (here).
Petrolheads Welcome has been promoting events such as these up and down the country, all designed to help us get our classics out on the road.

Andrew continues: “It’s important that we use and enjoy our classic vehicles, especially given the current political focus”. See Andrew’s blog here.

Petrolheads Welcome now needs your help:
There’s no cost to becoming a member, so click on the link on the home page to register. You’ll then have access to all of the features of Petrolheadswelcome.com. There’s also a monthly prize draw that automatically includes every member who receives their occasional newsletters (see website for T&Cs).
If you know of a hotel, B&B, museum, etc. that should be on the site, please use the ‘Recommend a Location’ link on the site’s home page.

You can meet some of the Petrolheads Welcome team at the Bromyard Speed Festival meeting at Shelsley Walsh on 31st May. Now there’s a good excuse to get out your classic… and if you want to stay somewhere nearby, you know where to look!
