The new year brings with it a host of extraordinary classic motoring events across the country, from the iconic Brooklands Museum New Years Day Gathering to vintage motoring film events and classic autojumbles. Read on to discover an event near you this month.
From 9am until 4pm, Brooklands Museum will open its doors to classic motoring enthusiasts and owners across the country for a festive new years day celebration. Numerous display paddocks, as well as an abundance of food and drink will be available for you and the entire family to enjoy. If you are coming in a pre-1988 vintage or classic car, or you are part of a pre-paid and pre-booked club display with a window pass, you should use the Campbell Gate off Brooklands Road.
Run by a local group, this free New Years Day event is a celebration of all classic cars, both old and new. Most members own cars dating from 1900 to the early 1990s. Open from 11am to 3pm.
Hosted by NEC Birmingham, this year’s Autosport International Show is bound to mesmerise. Featuring celebrity appearances from the world of motorsport, a coys auction, trade stands, restoration demonstrations, a rally feature and much, much more, this large scale event is not to be missed. Tickets from £33.
Hosted at Wye Halls, Three Counties Showground, Malvern, this fun filled vintage spares day gives you the opportunity to find parts and accessories for your vintage 4×4. If you’d like to pitch a stall, the participation price is £35. Admission price is £6.50.
Run by Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb, this fantastic road based classic car trail runs for approximately 75 miles in the picturesque Shropshire countryside. Unlike 2017, which celebrated the climb’s 70th anniversary, the 2018 event will see additional diversity with the introduction of classes for motorcycles.
