This Week In The WorkShop

Posted on October 30, 2017April 11, 2019 by Holden News

Inspection of the sad looking 1969 4/4 has now been completed. We have prepared a list of parts…

As ever, a week in the Holden Morgan Workshop is both busy and pleasingly diverse. We started the week with a brand new +4 to do a pre-delivery Inspection on. See the Car Sales pages of our website to view the Dove Grey +4. This is something we, as a main dealer, do with every…

Each year, over 30 cars compete in the Frazer Nash Alpine Trial, which takes place in the beautiful landscapes of the Italian French Alps. Are we up to the challenge? Of course we are! Morgan+4 Restoration

Posted on June 13, 2017April 15, 2019 by Holden News

It’s not like the team at Holden Morgan to shy away from a challenge, and this is especially true of their latest venture – a monumental restoration project of a 1955 Morgan +4 currently occupying the new service and restoration bay. We first introduced you to this broken down +4 back in March after Jeremy…

From this, a matt-coloured and not quite 100% sound, but nonetheless running and driving 2CV, Julian has transformed his Ebay sourced French Classic into a shining example of what can be achieved in the home workshop, with dedication, time and a little effort, plus a small amount of specialist intervention to weld floors, apply a new…

February seems a long tome ago, and I have being doing stuff, in fact it’s nearly finished. Russel , Pam’s son from work has completed the spray job. Very shiny!!! And the correct original colour. The wiring is almost done, I’ve still to add the heated rear window see 080.109. Most of the interior trim…

2CV Rebuild 20

Posted on February 10, 2016April 11, 2019 by Holden News

The Body is now fully fixed to the chassis. Pedals are back in and connected up and working, I bled the brakes through without a hitch….much to my relief, as all new pipework has been installed. The car now needs to be rewired, I’ve kept the rear loom as that was all OK, and the…

2CV Rebuild 19

Posted on January 28, 2016April 11, 2019 by Holden News

Last night Adam and Simon helped take the body off the wooden support horses and put it back on the chassis. I had, the previous night, prepped all the chassis with the foam rubber and J-shaped clip on threaded nut clip things that Citroen use to fix down. This is a really good idea… The…

Posted on January 25, 2016April 11, 2019 by Holden News

This weekend spent painting the underneath of the body with POR15 bedliner, a chip resistant rubberised paint, see http://www.holden.co.uk/displayproduct.asp?pCode=097.991, As this is water based I had to have a couple of fan heaters on all day in the garage!
