Robertson Screw No 4 Full Flat Countersunk Zinc - 40mm long
The Robertson Woodscrew has a square-shaped socket in the screw head and a square protrusion on the screwdriver. Both have a taper, which makes inserting the screwdriver easier, and also tends to help keep the screw on the screwdriver tip without the user needing to hold it there. Robertson screwdrivers are easy to use one-handed, because the tapered socket tends to retain the screw, even if it is shaken. In industry, they speed up production and reduce product damage. This screw is 'threaded' right up to the head and zinc plated. The UK equivalent size would be 8 x 1 1/2in. Sold as a packet of 200. For a Robertson screwdriver refer to 095.932, for driver bits refer to 095.933 and 095.934
