Rozalex overview
Rozalex Barrier creams have been supplied to British industry for over 90 years. Rozalex was originally formulated by the Chloride Electrical Storage Company, manufacturers of car batteries. The Barrier creams were used to protect their workers hands from solvents, oil, acid and the general grime of heavy industry.
So successful was the product that it was spun off into a separate company and sold throughout Britain to mechanics, the aviation and automotive industries and to motoring enthusiasts not afraid to get under the bonnet and start fixing.
Rozalex subsequently became a trade only product but it is now available again to motoring enthusiasts through Holden Vintage and Classic.
Rozalex is ideal to keep in the garage or workshop applying before work to protect your hands from the ingress of dirt and contaminants. It is easily applied and doesnąt leave the hands greasy, rapidly drying so you can maintain grip of that socket or engine component. When it comes to cleaning up afterwards one will find it is much easier, as the dirt will simply slip off.
Rozalex Barrier creams are not strictly hand cleaners as they are applied before the hands get dirty to protect the hands. They do this by preventing the ingress of dirt and contaminants to skins pores and creases. This is a combination of a physical barrier and benign compounds, which repel solvents and water solvent mixes. Barrier creams are not a substitute for gloves but they are closer to gloves than hand cleaners.
